The Wierdness of My Family

Ok, so I once dressed up as Ozzie Osborn. It's strange, right? Not to mention this was at work! Someday I will publish another wierd photo of me as a woman, but that's for another day. Anyway, where did this craziness come from? There are those who will tell you tha tI have always been a little nuts, but even if that's true, I could make a case I inherited it reverse, from my kids. Let me give you an example. Today, I will talk about only one of them, my second daughter, Sarah. Arguably, she is the strangest of the bunch. They say pictures are worth a thousand words, so let the pictures speak for themselves. Here is my killer daughter:

The Murderess

So here is Sarah as a crazed, knife-wielding killer. Notice the Valentine hearts on her skirt. What's that all about? Is she some kind of Little Bo-Peep gone over the edge? Haven't seen enough? How about Sarah as a spy? Check it out below.

Cloak and Dagger Sarah

Here she is as some kind of Mata Hari, a femme fatale spy. The wierdness doesn't stop here, check out Sarah as a rock star

Sarah the Rock Star

In this one, Sarah thinks she is some punk rocker. Do you see what I mean? You can learn more about her by visiting her blog at http://sarahtopia.blogspot.com/ Later, I will add more about my strange family, be sure to visit often, and don't forget to leave some comments.
Bye for now

Courting Days

This B&W photo was probably taken in 1967, a few months before Nancy and I were married. She really seems fixated on me, doesn't she? Well, I'm happy to say that now and then, she still looks at me the same way. We have been married for over 38 years at this posting, and we are still in love! Look at this handsome couple, no wonder we have such good looking children and grandkids!

Father's Day

Today was Father's Day. I received phone calls from each of my 3 daughters. Susan called first, followed by Stephanie, and lastly, Sarah. Sarah has her own blog and wrote a very nice message about me accompanied by the above photo. This picture was taken around 1978 or 1979. I was speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for St. John Neumann Church in Lubbock, Texas. Her message was very sweet, in which she spoke of some childhood memories. Susan, later sent me an email adding her own memories. Both messages warmed me and were very nice and touching to read. I get a kick out of this picture because I only grew a mustache about 3 or 4 times in my life. I never kept one for very long, I tended to get tired of them. Anyway, I just want the girls to know I really appreciate their words.

A visit to Hell

I suppose I should post at least one photo to begin with, so here it is. this was taken back in February when Nancy and I were on our second cruise. We went to Jamaica, Grand Cayman island, and Cancun. I am standing in front of the combination post office restaurant/bar, and tourist trap, oops, I mean souvenior shop in the tiny sub community of Hell.

Born On The Island

"The Island," of course, refers to Galveston, Texas. People from there are said to be "BOI," which stands for Born on the Island.
I was born there the year WWII ended, in the same month we dropped the A-bombs on Japan.
I guess you might say I came in with the Atomic Age.
I will add more later and tell more about myself as time goes by. I hope to make this as interesting as the blog my daughter Sarah creates.
